Objectives

  • Launched in 2013 by the Young Advisors of Digital Agenda Europe, EU Code Week is the only pan-European grassroots initiative promoting the inclusion of digital and technology learning tools in the school curriculum, with the aim of spreading digital literacy among all students. The European Commission supports EU Code Week as part of its Digital Single Market strategy.
  • Increase participation in EU Code Week
  • Raising awareness of the importance of technology and digital skills
  • Produce learning materials that teachers and other organisations can use and adapt in their EU Code Week activities.
  • Encourage parents to motivate their children to learn about coding using the EU Code Week learning materials.
  • Encouraging partners to share free online resources, such as lessons, webinars and training sessions.

Tasks

  • Conceptual planning of EU Code Week’s target group approach.
  • Developing press releases for key moments of the campaign
  • Development of appropriate content that can be adapted by the internal community to be used and disseminated in their local environment
  • Ongoing communication with partner agencies, freelancers and EU Code Week ambassadors (project consultancy)
  • Development of a social media strategy including target groups, relevant channels, content and data
  • Daily management of the social media channels Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Creation of weekly editorial calendars for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Supporting the visual design of the website
  • Structural and content consulting for the further development of the website
  • Change of the blog’s content management system (to WordPress)
  • Implementation of a chat bot
  • Creation of visual content for online advertising, presentations, social media
  • Development of a media plan and implementation of a paid media campaign
  • Maximising national and regional reach
  • Promotion of webinars, competitions and events
  • Regular reporting
  • Qualitative and quantitative measurement and optimisation of performance
